There are many different awarding bodies for the area of Beauty Therapy but the standard of training required from one to the other varies greatly. Coogan Bergin has been accredited to the very top international bodies for the past thirty years and is recognised by these bodies as a centre of excellence in the training field. Successful graduates gain automatic membership rights to these bodies who have global influence.

Prospective employers place great importance not only on the college attended but also the qualifying body. Diplomas specify your attainment: the college indicates the way you were taught.

All courses taught at Coogan Bergin, are aimed at the achieving of a diploma awarded by one or more of these internationally recognised examination bodies: CIDESCO, CIBTAC, ITEC, B.A.E.

COOGAN BERGIN

CIDESCO ( Comite International D'Esthetique Et De Cosmetologie )

CIDESCO was founded in 1949 to further the professional competence and integrity of the Beauty Therapist as well as developing a closer liaison with the medical profession, cosmetic chemist and other professional bodies with whom the beauty specialist now works. With its headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, it is represented in over 33 countries and over 200 CIDESCO schools teach to its internationally acclaimed standards offering the world's most prestigious qualification in the field of esthetics and beauty therapy. The CIDESCO Diploma is now recognised as the highest qualification within our profession.

COOGAN BERGIN

CIBTAC (Confederation of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology)

CIBTAC is the examination body of the British Association of Beauty therapy and Cosmetology. Their aim is not only to maintain their very high standards within the Applied Aesthetician Course & CIBTAC Diploma, but to promote even higher standards through the Advanced Aesthetics Diploma. Graduates who successfully complete their CIBTAC examinations can then go on to take their CIDESCO Diploma by completing further training. CIBTAC is also afforded tremendous recognition internationally as an outstanding qualification in Beauty Therapy.

B.A.E (British Institute & Association of Electrolysis)

The Association was formed in 1956 to advance the profession of Electrolysis specialists and to establish a strict system of training and examination of all persons seeking admission to membership.

Founded to provide in Independent bona-fide Professional Examination system recognised in nearly every English speaking country It offers shorter, modular training courses in a variety of beauty related disciplines.
